The summer season is a great time to book your Bisbee vacation rental at the Toland Adobe, and July in particular is an ideal month to visit. Celebrate America’s independence at the Bisbee Independence Day (aka 4th of July) parade. It’s a good old fashioned vintage style celebration, complete with a parade and fireworks.
On the morning of the 4th, be sure to get up early to take in the annual coaster races on Historic Tombstone Canyon in Old Bisbee. Watch local kids race down the hills in their cool coasters. This fun filled family tradition kicks off the day’s celebrations at 7am. Here’s a link to a video of the coaster races.
At 11am, the 4th of July Parade kicks off in the Warren section of town. It’s an all-American celebration, complete with floats, music, and plenty of red, white, and blue. Here’s a link to a video a family took of the parade. After the parade, enjoy lunch before checking out the annual mine mucking and rock drilling contest at 1 p.m. in Brewery Gulch (that’s in Old Bisbee), a unique event that you’ll probably only find in a historic copper mining town. At 3 p.m., you’ll find “Monsoon Madness” (water park activities) in Warren. The celebration wraps up with fireworks at dusk, also in Warren.
If you’ve ever wanted to experience how a small town with a rich history celebrates Independence Day, Bisbee is the place to be. Book our dog friendly Bisbee vacation home rental for July, and enjoy an all American experience that appeals to visitors of all ages.
